Veg Cheese Sandwich on tawa
Today we are going to make Veg Cheese Sandwiches to serve for breakfast during holidays. They are very tasty and are enough for a light weekend snack. It is very easy to make them and they are very much liked by children as well as adults. So you too make Veg Cheese Sandwiches with this easy recipe and enjoy the taste of these sandwiches with your family during these holidays.
Ingredients for Veg Cheese Sandwich
Gram Flour - 1 cup (120 grams)
Refined Flour - 6 tbsp (50 g)
Salt - a little less than 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli - 1/4 tsp
Bread - 4 slices
Pizza Sauce - 1 tbsp
Green Chutney - 1 tbsp
Capsicum - 2 tbsp, finely chopped
Process of making Batter
Put 1 cup of gram flour and 6 tbsp of all purpose flour in a bowl, add water little by little to make a smooth batter. When a solution of pouring consistency is formed, add a little less than 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of red chilli and 1-2 tbsp of green coriander to it. Mix them well, the batter will be ready.
Process of making the Sandwich
Heat the tawa on low flame. Put some butter on it and spread it on the pan. Now dip a slice of bread in the batter and coat it. Put it on the pan and coat the other slices in the same way and put it on the pan. Cover the pan and cook it on low-medium flame for 3 minutes.
When the time is up, spread butter on them and turn them over. Then put pizza sauce on one slice and tomato sauce or green chutney on the other slice. Then spread finely chopped capsicum on the slice with pizza sauce.
Then put cheese slices on the capsicum filled slice and cover it with another bread slice. Press the sandwich lightly in the middle and cover it and cook till it turns golden brown from both the sides. Then take it off and roast the rest of the sandwich in the same way.
This way the veg cheese sandwiches will be ready. Cut them into desired portions and serve with your favourite dip and enjoy the taste with your family.
You can use more or less butter as per your taste.
