Spicy Green Chilli Tomato Sabzi

Chilli Tomato Saag is a famous vegetable of Rajasthan.  It can also be called tomato green chilli spicy vegetable.  It is prepared in a jiffy with a very easy method.  The ingredients to make this are available in your kitchen.  Its taste is like a spicy pickle, so you can also enjoy its taste by making a delicious vegetable made of tomato green chillies.

 

Ingredients for Tomato Green Chilli Sabzi

 

Tomato - 3 (300 g)

Green Chilli - 7 (100 grams)

Mustard Oil - 2-3 tbsp

Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp

Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp

Fenugreek Seeds - ¼ tsp

Asafoetida - 1 pinch

Ginger - 1 tsp, grated

Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp

Coriander Powder - 1 tsp

Fennel Powder - 1 tsp

Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp

Dry Fenugreek - 1 tbsp

Salt - 1 tsp

 

Process of making Tomato Green Chilli Sabzi

 

Wash and dry 3 tomatoes and 7 big green chillies thoroughly.  Cut tomatoes and green chilies roughly.  Put 2-3 tbsp of mustard oil in a pan and heat it.  Reduce the flame to low, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1 tsp of cumin seeds, ¼ tsp of fenugreek seeds, 1 pinch of asafoetida and 1 tsp of grated ginger in hot oil.

 

After frying them lightly, add chopped green chilies and ½ tsp of turmeric and fry them for 1 minute on medium flame.  After roasting, add chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1 tsp of fennel powder, ½ tsp of red chilli powder and 1 tsp of salt.

 

Mix them well, cover and cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.  After the time is up, cover it back and cook it for 2 minutes.  When the time is up, the vegetable will be ready, take it out.  Tomato green chilli sabzi is ready, serve it with roti, paratha, poori or rice and enjoy its taste.

 

Suggestions

 

Do not overcook while cooking green chillies and tomatoes.
