Homemade Eggless Pav Bread made in pan

Like the pav in the market, today we will make soft pav at home.  It is very easy to make them and they will be ready in a jiffy.  We will make them in a pan without an oven.  Very soft pav will be ready with very few ingredients.  So you too make soft pav with this easy recipe and enjoy its taste with your family.


Ingredients for Ladi Pav in a pan


Refined Flour - 1.5 cups (200 grams)

Instant Active Yeast - 1.5 tsp

Sugar - 1.5 tsp

Milk - ¾ cup (160 ml)

Salt - ⅓ tsp

Oil - 1.5 tsp


Process of making the Dough


Mix 1.5 tsp of instant active yeast, 1.5 tsp of sugar and 3-4 tbsp of lukewarm milk in a cup and keep it aside for 6-7 minutes.  When the time is up, add 1.5 cups of all purpose flour and ⅓ tsp of salt to the bowl and mix.


Now add activated yeast to it, mix it well, add lukewarm milk little by little and knead a soft dough.  After kneading, add 1.5 tbsp of oil little by little and knead it while making it smooth.  When the dough becomes smooth, apply some oil on it, cover it and keep it in a warm place for 1 hour.


Process of making Pav


Mash the dough with dry flour on hand.  Keep it on the board and roll it and cut it into 6 equal parts.  Now grease the container with oil.  Take a ball and make it round and keep it in the container.  Similarly, round the rest of the balls and keep them in the container in line.  Now cover them with a cloth and keep them for half an hour.


When the time is up, the pavs will swell, coat them with a cream water solution.  Now put 2 cups of salt in the pan and place a mesh stand on it.  Cover it and heat it on high flame for 10 minutes.  When the time is up, carefully place the container in the pan, cover it and bake it for 20 minutes on medium-high flame.


Check them after 20 minutes, they will be lightly baked.  Cover them back immediately and bake on medium-high flame for 10 minutes.  After the time is up, take them out and apply butter on them.  Then cover them with a lightly greased cloth and keep them aside for 10 minutes.


When the time is up, take them out from the edges with the help of a knife. Invert the container and take out the pav.  Make bhaji and serve it with pav and enjoy its taste.




Mash the dough to make it soft.

To bake, first heat the pan, then keep the container in it and bake it on medium-high flame. Check them after 20 minutes, then increase the time and bake them till they become golden brown.
