Til Gur Besan Laddu Recipe | Sesame Seeds & Jaggery Ladoos
Til Gur Besan Laddus are a class of Til laddus but prepared differently. These Laddus are a must-have during the winter season. Til Gur laddus are not only delicious but healthy as well. So, let's get straight to the preparation.
Ingredients for Til Gud Ladoo:
Sesame Seeds - 1 Cup (140 grams)
Jaggery - 1 cup (250 grams)
Desi Ghee - 1/2 cup (100 grams)
Gram Flour - 1 Cup (125 grams)
Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp
Til Gur Besan Laddu Recipe:
Dry roast 1 cup of sesame seeds over the medium-high flame till puff-up and change color. Do not change their color too much; otherwise, they will become bitter. Sesame seeds will only take 3 minutes to get ready.
Add 6 tbsp of ghee to the Kadai. Once the ghee melts, add 1 cup besan and roast it over a low-medium flame. Add 1-more tsp of ghee if the besan looks dry.
Once the besan turns brown and aromatic, keep the besan aside to cool down. It takes 12 minutes to roast besan nicely.
Add 1 cup dashed jaggery and 2 tbsp of water to the Kadai. Melt the jaggery over the medium-high flame while stirring occasionally. Once the jaggery dissolves and you can see foam, check the syrup.
To check, pour a few drops of syrup into a bowl of water. If the syrup drops turn solid and crunchy after cooling down, then the syrup is ready.
Add jaggery syrup to the besan and mix well. Mix roasted sesame seeds (save some) in the besan-jaggery and keep it aside to harden and crisp.
Once the mixture gets hard, blend it in a mixer and take the powder out in a bowl. Add saved sesame seed and 6-7 coarsely crushed cardamom (or 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder) to the blended mixture and mix well.
The mixture for preparing ladoos is ready. Take out a little mixture and bind the ladoos as you please. Til Gur Besan Laddus are ready to be served.
You can store them for 6-months; they will be as delicious as freshly made laddus. So, prepare these ladoos and enjoy them.
