Aloo Gobhi Spicy Party Style
Here is Party Style Aloo Gobhi for your Holi special menu. So delicious no onw will ever say no to it.
Ingredients for Aloo Gobhi Spicy Party Style :
- Peeled Potatoes - 3 (300 gms )
- Cauliflower Floret - 300 gms
- Tomatoes - 2 (200 gms )
- Ginger - 1/2 Inch piece
- Green Chilies - 2
- Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Green Coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp ( finely chopped)
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/2 pinch
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
How to make Aloo Gobhi Masala Gravy.
Take peeled potato,cut into pieces. Wash cauliflower florets as well. Make tomato- ginger green chili paste.
Turn on flame, heat a pan pour 2 to 3 tsp oil in it, add 1/4 tsp cumin seeds and slightly roast till it crackles. Add potatoes, cauliflower stir. Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 turmeric powder. Stir the spices and roast the sabzi for 2 minutes. Cover and cook it for 5 minutes then stir it. Keep flame minimum.
Check the sabzi. Then cover and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Press well with ladle and check the sabzi. Potato should be soft and the cauliflowers should be crunchy soft. It takes 20 minutes to cook the sabzi, stirred 4 times at interval of every 5 minutes. Meanwhile After 5 minutes, stir the sabzi. Then cover and cook for few minutes on low flame. Check the sabzi. It is cooked for 20 minutes.
To prepare masala,
Heat wok, put 2 tbsp oil in wok to heat. When hot add cumin seeds,reduce flame add leftover asafoetida, bay leaves, cinnamon stick, cloves and black pepper. Roast these. Add tomato- green chili - ginger paste to masala. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder. Roast the spices, till oil separates from it. Check it at regular intervals. Masala is cooked too, add water to it. Add salt, ginger juliennes, garam masala some green coriander and mix it. Masala is boiled, Pour the masala and mix with the sabzi, cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
Sumptuous Party style Gobhi Aloo Sabzi is ready.It took 25 minutes to make it. Take out the sabzi in a bowl and relish with your meal alongside naan, paratha, rice or chapati.
- If you prefer the sabzi spicy you can add more red chili to it.
- If you want to make the sabzi more watery then add 1 cup water to it.
