Ingredients for Spinach & Mushroom Sandwich Recipe
- Brown/white bread slices – 4
- Spinach – 1 cup
- Mushrooms – 1 cup (thinly sliced)
- Mozzarella cheese - ¼ cup (grated)
- Ghee/butter – 1 to 2 tbsp
- Black pepper powder – less than ¼ tsp
- Salt - ¼ tsp or to taste
- Green chilly – 1 (finely chopped)
- Ginger baton – 1 inch (grated)
How to make Palak Mushroom Sandwich
Heat a pan over flame and add 2 tsp ghee over it. When the ghee is hot add ginger and green chilies and saute for a while. Now add mushrooms and saute for 2 to 3 minutes until they get tender.
When the mushrooms get tender, add spinach and mix everything really well. Saute the veggies until moisture evaporates and then add salt and some black pepper to it. Mix everything really well and keep sauteing for a while. Stuffing is ready, turn off the flame and let it cool down a little.
Heat a toaster for making the sandwich. Meanwhile stuff the bread slices for making sandwich. Place two bread slices over a place and evenly spread stuffing over it. Add some mozzarella cheese over it and place another bread slices over it. Apply some ghee or butter over these bread slices. Sandwich is ready to roast.
Roast the sandwich
Sandwich maker is heated well. Now place these stuffed bread slices into it and check after 2 minutes.. When the sandwich gets brown, it is ready to serve. Cut and place them on a plate.
Crispy and delicious sandwiches are ready to serve. Serve these crispy palak mushroom sandwich with tomato ketchup, green coriander chutney or any other dip as per your preference and relish eating.
- Don't over roast the mushrooms just make them little tender.
- There should not be any moisture in the stuffing, so saute it well.
- You can skip the use of ghee as per your taste.
