Raw Mango Sweet Red Chutney Recipe

Sweet chutney of raw mango is used in many dishes.  It is definitely made for weddings and parties.  You can eat this chutney with samosa, kachori, dahi bhalle and any chaat.  You can make it once and keep it for a long time and eat it.  The method of making it is also very easy, you will prepare it by making it instantly.


Ingredients for Raw Mango Sweet Chutney


Raw Mango - 350 grams

Jaggery - ¾ cup (150 grams)

Sugar - ½ cup (100 grams)

Salt - ½ tsp

Black Salt - 1 tsp

Ginger Powder - 1 tsp

Cumin Seeds Powder - 1 tsp

Garam masala - 1 tsp

Kashmiri Red Chilli - 1.5 tsp

Dry dates or dates - 6

Raisin - 1 tbsp

Water - 2 cup


Process of boiling Raw Mango


Remove the peels of 2 raw mangoes and cut them.  The seeds have to be removed, they have to be cut into small pieces.  Now put them in the pan and add 1 cup of water.  Then cover them for 5 minutes and boil them till they become soft.  Check once the time is up, if it is not soft then cover and cook again for 2 minutes.  When the time is up, they will be ready by boiling.


Also, soak 6 chickpeas in hot water for 2 hours.  Then remove their seeds and cut them long and thin.


Now after the raw mangoes are boiled, put them in a mixer jar and grind them.  After grinding, sieve them through a sieve so that the fibers come out.  After filtering, pour some water in the mixer jar and filter the remaining mixture as well.


Process of making Sweet Red chutney


Put the filtered pulp in the same pan.  Also add ½ cup of water, ¾ cup of jaggery and ½ cup of sugar and cook on medium flame till the jaggery melts.  When the jaggery dissolves well in the pulp, add 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of black salt, 1 tsp of dry ginger powder, 1 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of garam masala and 1.5 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder.


Now mix them and cook while stirring for a while till it becomes thick.  When it comes to a boil, add chopped dates, 1 tbsp of raisins and mix it.  After it becomes thick, add 5 small cardamoms, coarsely crushed, in it.  Mix well, turn off the flame and cool the chutney.  In this way sweet chutney of raw mango will be ready, keep it in a container when it cools down and enjoy its taste with any dish whenever you want.




You can keep this chutney for more than 6 months and eat it.

Take such raw mangoes which have more pulp inside.
