Raw Mango Launji recipe- Kairi ki Launji recipe
Mango is a fruit of summers and can be found in abundance in every nook and corner of the country. Everyone in India is fond of eating sour recipes made from raw mangoes.
Mango Chunda is made in Gujarat by grating raw mango, whereas in Uttar pradesh and Rajasthan Raw Mango Launji is prepared in summers. You can pack this recipe with parantha is your kid'ss tiffin. So lets start our preparation for making Raw Mango Launji.
Ingredients for Raw Mango Launji
- Raw Mango - 2-3 (500 gms.)
- Oil - 1 table spoon.
- Heeng - 1 pinch.
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
- Anise seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
- Sugar or jaggery - 4 table spoon.
- Salt - 3/4 tea spoon (according to the taste)
- Garam masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
Method - How to make Raw Mango Launji
Wash the mangoes. peel and cut into 2 inch pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and tamper the heeng, anise seeds and cumin seeds into it. Once they turn light brown in colour put turmeric powder, mango pieces, sugar, salt and 100 gms water. Roast on low flame and cook until they become tender.
Turn off the flame and mix garam masala into it.
Raw Mango Launji is ready. Transfer it in a serving bowl and serve with naan, parantha and chapati.
