Semolina - 1/4 Cup (45 grams)
Desiccated Coconut - 1/4 Cup
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Cardamom - 6-7, coarsely ground
Desi Ghee - 5 tbsp
Milk - 4 tbsp
Almond Flakes - 2 tbsp
Atta Biscuits Recipe:
Take ½ cup of jaggery in a vessel and dash it into pieces. Add 5 tbsp of ghee, 4 tbsp of milk to the vessel, and simmer till the jaggery melts. Make sure the syrup is lumps-free.
Take 1 cup of wheat flour in a bowl, add ¼ cup of suji, ¼ cup of desiccated coconut, 2 tbsp of almond flakes, 6-7 coarsely crushed cardamom, 1 tsp of baking powder, and mix well.
Use jaggery syrup for kneading the dough. Pour syrup in the bowl and prepare the dough. Once the dough is ready, get onto biscuits preparation.
Use a tablespoon to take out the dough and prepare the same size of biscuits. Take out a portion of the dough, roll, and give it a biscuit shape. Use a knife to mark the cuts over the biscuit and put the biscuit on the oven tray.
Similarly, prepare all the biscuits and put them on the tray. Preheat the oven at 180°centigrade for 5 minutes. Put the tray in the oven after 5 minutes and bake the biscuits at 170°centigrade for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, take the biscuits tray out and allow it to cool down. The biscuits have turned golden brown, indicating that they are well-baked.
Bake Biscuits in Kadai:
Take a heavy bottom Kadai, and add 2 cups of salt to it. Place a stand inside the Kadai after adding salt. Preheat the Kadai for 7-8 minutes over high heat.
Grease a thali and put the biscuits on it. After 8 minutes, put the thali in the Kadai. Cover the Kadai and bake the biscuits for 10 minutes over medium flame.
[After 20 minutes]
The biscuits have turned golden brown. We checked the biscuits after 10 minutes, but they were not well-baked. So, we baked the biscuits for 20 minutes in Kadai.
Gud-Atta biscuit is ready to be served. They turned out very crispy and delicious. Once the biscuit cools down completely, store them in an airtight container, and enjoy them for a month.
