    Gur Mawa Gujiya Jaggery Dry Fruits Gujiya Recipe During the time of holi, gujiya is often made at home. There are several kinds of gujiya having various flavours. Today we are going to make a very tasty gujiya without using mawa. Ingredients required for preparing the gujiya dough Maida - 1 cup or 125 gram Desi Ghee - 2 tbsp or 30 gram Milk - ¼ cup Ingredientsfor the gujiya stuffing Jaggery (Gur) - ½ cup or 100 gram Grated coconut (Nariyal) - ½ cup or 25 gram Cashew nuts (Kaju) - 7 to 8 or 1 tbsp Raisins (Kishmish) - 1 tbsp Charoli (Chironji) - 1 tbsp Green cardamom (Chhoti elaichi) - 4-5 Almonds (Badam) - 7 to 8 Ghee - To fry the gujia How to make Jaggery Dry Fruits Gujiya Recipe Put maida to a bowl, add ghee to it and mix well. Keep adding a little milk and knead a hard dough just like the one for poori. We will use 3 tbsp milk to knead this much dough. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 20-25 minutes, the dough will set and rise. Till the time our dough sets, let’s prepare a stuffing for the gujiya. How to make the stuffing Crush the jaggery into tiny pieces, cut the cashews and almonds into tiny pieces. Peel off green cardamom and make a powder. Add 1 tbsp ghee to it and let it melt. Once the ghee is melted, add crushed jaggery to it. Keep stirring and let it melt on low flame. Turn off the flame once the jaggery is melted. Now add the cashews, almonds, charoli, raisins, coconut and cardamom powder to it and mix well. Put the stuffing in a bowl so that it cools down quickly. How to make the Gujiya Apply oil on your hands and knead the dough again till it has a smooth consistency. We will make round balls with the help of dough. We will get 12 balls from this much dough. Take each ball in your hand, press it till it becomes a flat oval. Once all the balls are ready, cover it with a cloth, so that they do not get dry. Now roll out the balls smoothly one by one. It should be approximately 3 to 4 inch in length. Take the poori and put it in your hand. Add 2 tbsp of stuffing on it. With the help of your finger, apply water on all four sides of the puri. Close the poori tightly into half. Press it this way with one hand and roll it with the other. Prepare all the gujiyas similarly. How to fry the Gujiyas Once all the gujias are ready, we’ll bake them. Check if the oil is hot. Put as many gujiyas in the pan as can come at one time. Fry it on low flame. Fry the gujiyas till they appear golden brown in colour. Turn on the side of the gujiya once it floats and rises in the oil. It takes around 8-10 minutes to fry these gujiyas. Once the gujiyas are fried, take them out in a plate spread over a tissue or put them in a basket. Fry all the gujiyas in similar way. Gujiya is very tasty when served hot. Once the gujiyas cool down, store it in a container and enjoy eating it for a month. Suggestions : You can add the dry fruits as per your choice. Increase the quantity of the ones that you like the most and decrease the ones that you don’t like. While kneading the dough, make sure you add the right quantity of oil. If the quantity of oil is less, then the gujiya will not be soft and if it is too soft then it will break while frying. Make sure the gujiya does not break from anywhere while filling the stuffing. If by chance any gujiya breaks, then keep it aside and fry it later otherwise the oil will be wasted.

    mujhe gujhia bana kafi tough kaam lagta hai , basically atte ki loi bana ke usme filling kerte samay hi meri gujhia fat jati hai , main bahut dheere dheere banatai hoon , agar maine 20 gujhia ka aata maadti hoon to usme se 7 gujhia hi acchii nikalti hai , mujhe bahut bura lagta hai ... aur abhi to mujhe sabse kadin cheej gujhi a banana hi lagta hai ... kya aap mujhe bata sakti hai ki aata kaise maade kitna hard hona chaiye aur belne per kitna mota ya patla aur kaisee bhrana chaiye ...
